PURPOSE: A color flat panel display device is provided to reduce manufacturing costs and procedures by simplifying the structure for supporting the cathode. CONSTITUTION: A color flat panel display device comprises a rear electrode, a cathode(3) as an electron beam emitter, an electron beam lead-out electrode, a signal electrode, a focusing electrode, a horizontal deflection electrode, a vertical deflection electrode, and a cathode support unit(300) including a cathode fixing portion(310) for fixing the cathode to an elastic spring(320), the elastic spring for applying a tensile force to the cathode, and a support(330) for supporting the elastic spring and fixing the spring to a rear glass. The cathode support unit, elastic spring, and the support are integrally formed into a single unit. The elastic spring is formed by two metals having different thermal expansion coefficients.
