MULTI-COLORED YARN AND TEXTILE FORMED THEREFROM

A space-dyed yarn (12) and textile construction formed therefrom is provided. The space-dyed yarn (12) includes a multiplicity of discrete color segments (80-85) arranged along the length of the yarn (12). The color segments (80-85) are of finite lengths which may be in the range of less than about 2 inches. The yarns (12) may have linear densities under about 500 denier. A process and apparatus for production of the space-dyed yarns (12) are also provided.
