A composition of two or more cytokine protein components. These components may optionally be present in one of a number of different combinations. For example, the combination may optionally include at least one of IL-6 or IL-6/sIL-6R complex as a first component, and at least one of HGF protein, TNF- alpha or an engineered derivative there of as a second component. Additionally or alternatively, the combination may include a complex of any member of the IL-6 family and its corresponding receptor or an engineered derivative thereof. The present invention also encompasses methods of use thereof, including for the treatment of a pathological of a subject. The composition may optionally be delivered through gene therapy for such treatment.
