SUBSTANCE: invention describes method of reduction of content of 3-dimethylamino-2-phenylpropionic acid ethyl ester in the solution of 2-dimethylamino-1-phenyl-3-cyclo-hexene-1-carboxylic acid ethyl ester contaminated with the above indicated ester in solvent not mixing with water. Method involves mixing this solution with 0.5-2.0 equivalents of carboxylic acid per mole of 2-dimethylamino-1-phenyl-3-hexene-1-carboxylic acid ethyl ester followed by stirring the prepared mixture at temperature 50-100 C.
