<p>An surface mount seven segment LED display comprises a rectangular reflector body (70) and an 'I' shaped PCB (50). The PCB has positioning holes, holes for epoxy and conductive holes. The PCB (50) has a pair of V-shaped recesses (61) towards its shorter edges. The reflector body (70) has a flat front face (70a) and a hollow inner area (70b) and rear side walls (72, 78). The hollow inner area includes locator pins (71) for fixing the PCB (50). Further the reflector has a pair of ridges (73) on its ends to hold the recesses (61) of the PCB (50). The assembly of a compact reflector and a thin PCB is encapsulated by a resin/hardener epoxy.</p> |
