The invention relates to a folding bicycle (1) that can be used together with public transport when a user wishes to undertake a journey of some distance. According to the invention, the bicycle is provided with a belt (7) drive (6) that can be folded so that, for example, said bicycle can be taken more easily on public transport. The aforementioned drive (6) can be folded such that (i) the belt (7) folds in an unconstrained manner by means of an eccentric part (34) and (ii) the bicycle wheels (3, 4) are positioned on either side of the frame (2).
