CENTRIFUGAL SEPARATOR FOR SEPARATING MILK INTO FRACTIONS

FIELD: agriculture and food-processing industry. SUBSTANCE: centrifugal separator has separating drum mounted on immovable hollow shaft and drum drive comprising tubes fixed to drum casing in zone maximal remote from its axis of rotation and equipped with nozzles arranged outside casing at right angle in horizontal plane to create reactive force for rotating drum. Hollow shaft cavity is divided by partition wall into lower and upper perforated parts. Lower part of shaft serves for supplying milk into drum and upper part for discharging cream. Inlet end of tubes with nozzles is arranged in skimmed milk accumulating zone for discharging it from drum during separation process. Apparatus is used for separating suspensions into fractions. EFFECT: simplified construction and reduced power consumption. 2 dwg
