FIELD: high-precision instrumentation engineering; small-size electrostatically suspended gyroscopes. SUBSTANCE: method involves formation of external and internal electrodes having external and internal cylindrical surfaces. Working end of electrodes has spherical butt-end surface and other end has flat surface. External electrode billet is made in the form of solid member. Internal electrode is formed by way of through drilling of external electrode billet on side opposite to annular groove base end. Electrodes are secured to ceramic base by diffusion welding. Tool whose working part is tube has its cutting part made in the form of longitudinal ledge of tube wall with helical butt-end. External and internal surfaces of tool working part are formed by opposing cones. Internal cone has its larger base oriented towards side opposing cutting part. Both conical surfaces are crossing butt-end surface. EFFECT: enhanced precision of electrode unit manufacture. 2 cl, 4 dwg
