PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor element by which the concentration of a specific gas can be detected with a satisfactory accuracy. SOLUTION: The gas sensor element is composed of a solid electrolyte body 53 and a pair of negative and positive electrodes 31, 32 installed at the body 53, it comprises a sensor cell 3 constituted to be capable of detecting the concentration of the specific gas in a gas to be measured, and it comprises an oxygen discharge chamber 13 with which at least a part of the positive electrode 32 in the sensor cell 3 is faced. |
