METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MEMBER MADE OF CAST IRON

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacturing a member made of cast iron which has a part excellent in wear resistance and a part where turning, or the like, can be performed with relative ease from the same molten metal. SOLUTION: Before temperature of molded goods 5 manufactured by casting passage A1 transformation point, the molded goods 5 is subjected to heat treatment and chilled structure generated in the molded goods 5 at the time of casting is decomposed. A journal part 2 of the molded goods 5 is cooled under the conditions of generating a perlite structure and meanwhile residual parts such as a shaft part 3 are cooled under the conditions of generating a ferrite structure. Finally, machining such as turning is conducted to the shaft part 3, or the like, to obtain a balancer shaft 1 as a finished product.
