PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an electromagnetic brake 17 while braking is enhanced. SOLUTION: An excitation coil 26 is wound around an iron core 24 which is so bent that both end surfaces in length direction, which are to be pole surfaces, face an armature 28. So almost magnetic flux passes the pole surface of the iron core 24, and leaking of magnetic flux from parts other than the pole surfaces is strongly limited. Thus, the attracting force of an electromagnet 27 is significantly enhanced without increasing an electrification power or the number of turns of the excitation coil 26, resulting in strong braking with smaller size and saved energy.
|
