PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for heating and forming a plated steel sheet having superior appearance by which attractive appearance and further excellent paintability can be provided by controlling the oxidation reaction of intermetallic compounds at heating. SOLUTION: The plated steel sheet is heated under the condition of <=20% oxygen concentration in the atmosphere of heating, and is hot formed.
