PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a steel which has excellent molten acid ammonium sulfate corrosion resistance. SOLUTION: This steel having the excellent molten acid ammonium sulfate corrosion resistance has a composition containing, by mass, 0.003 to 0.2% C, 0.6 to 2% Si, 0.1 to 2% Mn, <=0.05% P, <=0.05% S, 0.1 to 1% Cu, 4.5 to 6.5% Cr, 0.1 to 0.5% Ni, 0.005 to 0.5% Al, and 0.05 to 0.3% Sb, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities.
