PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a powder coating material excellent in storage stability, excellent especially in weatherability of the coated film, and excellent in workability at the application and finished appearance as well, and to provide a method for forming the coated film. SOLUTION: This powder coating material is obtained by spray drying an organic solvent solution comprising (A) an organopolysiloxane having a curable reactive group, (B) a thermosetting resin, (C) a curing agent reactive with the thermosetting resin (B), and (D) an organic solvent.
