The tub for ice cream or other foodstuffs has a spoon(8) clipped on the underside of the base(3) between oppositely disposed points(12,13) on the inner side of a downwards extending annular section(6) which is formed by the edge of the generated surface(2) protruding down over the base. The spoon has a length with is greater than the inner diameter(D) of the downwards protruding edge. The height(H) of the downwards protruding edge is greater than the height(h) of a clipped on spoon.
