PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support for an electrophotographic image receiving paper by which an image more excellent in gloss and image quality can be formed even in the case of high temperature fixation. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for the support for the electrophotographic image receiving paper comprises a stage (1) for subjecting the surface of a base paper to the treatment selected from the group consisting of corona treatment, plasma treatment and flame treatment with >=0.010 kW/m<2> / min and a stage (2) for coating the surface of the base paper subjected to the treatment with a polypropylene resin layer by fusion-extruding the polypropylene resin having 18-50 g/10 min melt flow rate (MFR) to the surface. In the stage (2), the polypropylene resin is fusion-extruded at 280-315 deg.C and ozone gas having 10-50 g/m<3> ozone concentration is applied to the surface bonded to the base paper of the melted film of the polypropylene resin.
