PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor installed elevator comfortably usable by preventing such inconvenience that water drops fall on passengers getting in and out of a car in the rain or snow. SOLUTION: In this outdoor installed elevator with a car 5 disposed outside an exterior wall 1 of a building and elevated, the upper part of the car 5 is provided with a drip-proof plate 18 advancing/retreating with respect to a clearance H between the exterior wall 1 and the car 5 to close the clearance H by the advancing operation. The drip-proof plate 18 is operated interlocked with a car door of the car 5.
