A convenient means of examining nephropathy is provided. Paying attention to fat granules Contained in urinary lipomicrons and oval fat which are observed in association with nephropathy, it is found out that the contents of lipoproteins or analogs thereof or constituents of the same contained in these substances significantly indicate relevance to nephropathy, thereby completing the above-described examination means. <IMAGE>
