IMPROVED INK JET RECORDING ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording element having high ink absorbency and an ink jet recording element having high speed drying properties. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording element has a support and an ink receiving layer containing a binder and a calcium phosphate pigment showing witlockite stone crystal structure. Improved ink absorbency and drying time are obtained.
