PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an ink jet recording sheet in which an ink accepting performance is improved. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording sheet comprises an ink accepting layer coating composition coating on a support. In this sheet, the composition is coated on the support, in which the surface of the paper is previously heated to 40 deg.C or higher. The composition preferably contains a temperature sensitive gelatinized polymer. Further, the method for manufacturing the ink jet recording sheet comprises the steps of preferably coating the composition containing the polymer in which the temperature of the composition is 10 deg.C or higher and lower than the transition temperature of the polymer and further preferably coating the composition by a previously metering method. |
