PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording sheet which has good ink absorbability without reducing other ink accepting performance, which has excellent gloss feeling, aging bleeding and ozone resistance and which exhibits high light resistance even when solar light or light of a fluorescent lamp is emitted. SOLUTION: The ink jet recording sheet comprises a color material accepting layer on the surface of a support. The color material accepting layer is formed by using a coating liquid containing a dispersion obtained by dispersing alumina fine particles and a water soluble resin and further incorporating at least one type selected from the group consisting of R<1> -S-R<2> (1), R<3> -SH (2) and (3) R<4> -S-S-R<5> , wherein R<1> , R<2> , R<3> , R<4> and R<5> are each independently an alkyl group having a substituent or an aryl group having a substituent, R<1> and R<2> as well as R<4> and R<5> are respectively coupled, and a ring may be formed. |
