PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of continuing image forming operation without stopping it, depending on the position of paper jamming. SOLUTION: An image forming device comprises an image forming part 115, a controller 118 for controlling the whole device, a plurality of feed trays 111, 112, 113, a paper feeding and carrying passage 120 for feeding paper from the feed trays to the image forming part and a plurality of paper sensors 131, 132, 133, 134, 135, 136, 137 arranged in the paper feeding and carrying passage. When one of the plurality of paper sensors detects paper jamming, the controller stops the feeding operation of the feed trays, detects the existence or not of the feed trays adaptable to feed paper without receiving the influences of the position of paper jamming, and switching the feed tray into the feed tray adaptable to feed the paper, if existing, for continuous feeding operation. |
