<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking assist device for facilitating the parking operation of an own vehicle along a parking route till the own vehicle arrives a parking target position. SOLUTION: The parking route of the own vehicle to the parking target position showed by a marker in a screen of a display provided in the own vehicle is computed (S16). When steering of the own vehicle is operated, in the case of directing the present steering angle to the target steering angle for moving the own vehicle along the parking route, the steering assist force of the own vehicle is increased (S21), and steering of the own vehicle can be operated by the relatively small steering force. On the other hand, in the case of separating the present steering angle from the target steering angle, the steering assist force of the own vehicle is reduced (S21), and the relatively large steering force is necessary for the steering operation of the own vehicle.</p> |
