PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel tank mounting structure for an engine generator allowing easy mounting and dismounting of a fuel tank at a trouble on maintenance of an engine or generator. SOLUTION: When the fuel tank 4 is mounted on stay frames 5, 6 of a frame 1, a projection 7a of a grip 7 held between flange parts 4a of the fuel tank 4 is fitted in a cut out 6a of the stay frame 6 and a main body 7b thereof is fitted in a U-shaped section of the stay frame 6, at first. Then, the projection 7a is fitted in a cutout 5a of the stay frame 5 and the main body 7b is fitted in a U-shaped section of the stay frame 5. Thereafter, a lock pin is inserted in a hole of a flange part 4a of the fuel tank 4 and the lock pin is locked by inserting a cotter pin or the same therein. When the fuel tank 4 is dismounted, the stay frame 5 side is removed after the lock pin is removed by removing the cotter pin, and then the stay frame 6 side is removed.
