PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing plastic plated goods which does not require chemical etching, does not always require the addition of a large amount of inorganic fillers for forming a physically roughened surface effective for the adhesion property of plating and is capable of assuring high plating quality. SOLUTION: After a thermoplastic resin material of >=50 MPa in shearing strength is molded, the surface of molded goods is subjected to a liquid honing treatment by a grinding agent of an alumina system in such a manner that the surface roughness Rz (ten point average roughness) attains >=10μm and thereafter, the surface is subjected to catalyst impartation, activation treatment and electroless plating.
