PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an onboard power socket 10. SOLUTION: An opening 36 is provided in a sidewall of a cylinder 32 along a sidewall of a plug 12. A case 24 is provided with cutouts 60a and 60b along the sidewall of the plug 12 appearing at the opening 36, so that when the plug 12 is inserted in the cylinder 32, a portion of the sidewall of the plug 12 is positioned in the cutouts 60a and 60b. Thus in the on-vehicle power socket 10, the height of the case 24 can be reduced by that (h×2) of the plug positioned inside the cutouts 60a and 60b.
