FILM SCANNER AND ITS CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To wind a film into a cartridge without any slack and to prevent the film from being damaged or bent. SOLUTION: A 1st stepping motor 4 drives and rotates the spool 1a of the cartridge 1 and a 2nd stepping motor 7 moves the film 2 drawn out of the cartridge 1 along the length. The film feeding operation by the 2nd stepping motor 7 and the film take-up operation by the 1st stepping motor 4 are carried out cooperatively with each other to make a primary scan while the film 2 is moved in the direction in which the film is wound into the cartridge 1; and the 2nd stepping motor 7 is stopped at the end of the take-up operation and then the 1st stepping motor 4 is stopped a specific time later.
