PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand thermoelectric variable range without reducing suction air flow rate or bleeding compressed air in a thermoelectric variable gas turbine. SOLUTION: Operating characteristics of a compressor 10 is changed by injecting (spraying) water or steam at multi-stage into the compressor 10 to expand surging limit and improve rated operation efficiency simultaneously. An upper limit of pressure ratio is raised above a designed point of no steam injection by changing surging characteristics of the compressor 10 by injecting water or steam at multi-stage into the compressor 10. Consequently, the thermoelectric variable range is expanded by enabling to increase quantity of stem injection to a combustor 12 and turbine 14.
