MOLD FOR FORMING OPTICAL ELEMENT WITH LENS BARREL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for forming an optical element with a lens barrel which prevents the optical element integrally formed in the lens barrel from deviation of location or light axis. SOLUTION: This mold for forming an optical element is equipped with a forming mold constituted with a cylindrical body mold (1), an upper mold (2) and a lower mold (3) both slidable inside the body mold; a lens barrel (10) is set inside the forming mold and an optical material (20) is disposed inside the lens barrel. The optical material (20) is sandwiched between the upper mold (2) with a transfer face (2A) and the lower mold (3) with a transfer face (3A) to be press heated to form the optical element integrally with the lens barrel. A reference face (31) is provided on the upper face of the lower mold (3) to mount the lens barrel (10), the center part of the upper face of the lower mold (3) is protruded in the axial direction to form a columnar fitting part (32) provided with an outer peripheral face perpendicular to the reference face (31) and the transfer face (3A), where the outer diameter of the fitting part (32) is designed conforming to the inner diameter of the lens barrel (10), and a groove (33) circling along the whole outer peripheral face is formed at the lower end on the outer peripheral face of the fitting part (32) intersecting with the reference face (31).
