ANTI-CAKING SODIUM BICARBONATE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sodium bicarbonate with improved anti-caking property and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This sodium bicarbonate has sodium carbonate content on the particle surface thereof, part or all of which consists of sodium sesquicarbonate (NaHCO3 -Na2 CO3 -2H2 O). Such sodium bicarbonate can be obtained by treating sodium bicarbonate particles at a temperature in the range of 20 to 70 deg.C and at a relative humidity of 50 to 90%.
