PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof light capable of meeting contradictory requirements for enhancing daylighting properties and for preventing a rise in indoor temperature at midsummer. SOLUTION: The daylighting roof light provided in a daylighting opening in a building includes at least two of inside and outside translucent panels 2 and 3 such as glass panes for closing the daylighting opening, and translucent light-blocking screens 41, 42, 43 and 44 positioned in a closed space formed by the translucent panels 2 and 3. The light-blocking screens 41, 42, 43 and 44 are lower in translucency than the translucent panels 2 and 3 and can be opened and closed when operated from the outside of the closed space.
