PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller bit apparatus which allows roller bits to be attached thereto or detached therefrom and to be replaced with another one from either a machine inner side of a shield machine or a cutting face side. SOLUTION: According to the roller bit apparatus, a roller bit assembly (31) formed of at least one or more roller bits (21, 25) arranged on a rotary cutter, is attachable thereto/detachable therefrom from the cutting face side, and the roller bits (21, 25) are attachable thereto/detachable therefrom from the machine inner side of the shield machine bit by bit.
