GLASS WALL UNIT, STRUCTURE THEREOF, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass wall unit, a structure of the glass unit, and a method of manufacturing the glass wall unit, the unit being excellent in wind pressure strength and continuity and providing a beautiful design consisting of planar walls and curved walls, while eliminating the need for reinforcement even when a number of units are used. SOLUTION: The glass wall unit 20 which is approximately in the form of a hollow box is manufactured by bonding the ear parts 9 and 9 of a pair of opposite, transparent grooved glass panes 1 and 1 to each other using a shaped silicone sealing material. A plurality of glass wall units 20 are horizontally arranged and laid one on top of another, with each of the glass wall units 20 used vertically so that an elongate upright surface 21 is pointed in the outward direction of a building as a front surface to make the exterior wall of the building transparent.
