PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for easily collecting a sea bottom mineral such as a manganese ingot. SOLUTION: This method is a collecting method for pulling up the sea bottom mineral 18 together with seawater through a pipe 12 vertically provided from an ocean base 13 to a sea bottom 26. An upper aperture end 14 of the pipe 12 is provided on a position lower than a sea surface 16, and thereby a rising water current based on a water pressure difference is generated in the pipe 12. The sea bottom mineral 18 is pulled up to the ocean base 13 accompanied by the rising water current. Especially, the sea bottom mineral 18 released from the upper aperture end 14 with the seawater is received by a conveyor 20 and is taken out.
