PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve system controlling device for an internal combustion engine capable of managing both fuel consumption improvement, and high speed and high output, and of reducing cost and weight by optimizing a close timing of an engine valve according to operating condition while controlling increase of inertia mass of the engine valve minimum. SOLUTION: This valve system controlling device for the internal combustion engine controls open and close action of the engine valve and is provided with a cam type valve system 5 opening and closing the engine valve IV1 with a cam 11 synchronized and driven by rotation of the internal combustion engine 3, an actuator 29 for keeping the engine valve IV1 in an open condition by locking the open engine valve IV1, and a control means 2 controlling close timing of the engine valve IV1 by controlling operation of the actuator 29. |
