PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight device with a low profile and capable of reducing noise and to provide a liquid crystal display device using the backlight device. SOLUTION: The backlight device includes a backlight emission face, a backlight incidence face, a frame FR enclosing the backlight incidence face and the backlight emission face, and a couple of feeding harness wires 5A, 5B contained inside the frame FR and led out from both ends, and is provided with a thin and long backlight lamp 5 so that the one feeding harness wire 5A is directly led out externally from the inside of the frame FR and the other feeding harness wire 5B is looped back in the frame FR and led out externally, and light is made incident from the backlight incidence face Y. |
