ELECTRIC RADIANT HEATER WITH ACTIVE SENSOR FOR DETECTING COOKING VESSEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate mounting of sensors. SOLUTION: Electric radiant heaters 11 and 111 are provided having respective active sensors 21 and 121 for detecting the position of a cooking vessel on a crystallized glass plate thereabove. The sensors 21 and 121 are made from electrically conductive material and constitute part of an induction resonant circuit of a control device actuated by resonant circuit detuning, with that part covering the heating zones 17 and 117 of the radiant heaters 11 and 111. The sensors 21 and 121 extend approximately linearly and have a loopless structure which conventional sensor coils do not have. For example, a wire 121 can be stretched or the pipe 21 of a rod regulator can be used.
