PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acrylic adhesive that has flame retardancy, can be used as an adhesive composition in applications where there is the danger of being exposed to flames and that is excellent in workability such as coating workability or the like and in adhesion to an adherend, especially to a metal. SOLUTION: The flame retardant resin composition comprises a polymerizable vinyl monomer, a polymerization initiator, a reducing agent and a brominated diphenyl ether and an elastomer component wherein the polymerizable vinyl monomer is a polymerizable (meth)acrylic acid derivative. The adhesive composition is a two-agent type adhesive composition which comprises a first agent comprising at least the polymerization initiator and a second agent comprising at least the reducing agent and a cured product of the adhesive composition is provided. The metal composite is a composite in which an adherend is coated with the cured product of the adhesive composition or adherends are bonded through the cured product thereof wherein the adherend is made of metal.
