Method and apparatus for folding blanks, especially of carton

The equipment is for folding cardboard components (1) of cartons along a folding edge (2) and involves a second pressure device (6) bending a second section (4) of the cardboard component around the second section. At the same time, the second pressure device produces a second force component which runs in the plane of the second section, acting in the direction of the folding edge and presses a first section (3) of the cardboard component against a first pressure device (5). The folding edge takes the form of a cross-section narrowed structure and/or perforation. The folding of the cardboard component is enacted by the throughflow method.
