PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car conveyor having excellent safety and being capable of simply conveying a car without complicating conveyance control and a mechanical type parking device with it. SOLUTION: In a car conveying section 21 installed while being crossed over an entering-leaving berth 12 and a lift 18, conveying bodies 61 are endlessly juxtaposed in a manner that the conveying bodies can be circulated and driven. In the car conveying section 21, a connection releasing member 69 is disposed at a place corresponding to the berth 12 and a curved section 23 in the lift 18, and the conveying bodies 61 are moved under the state in which a mutual connection is released at these places. Then, the member 69 is not disposed at a place corresponding to the lift 18 in the car conveying section 21, a fixed number of the bodies 61 corresponding to lengths in which the member 69 is not arranged are connected mutually, and a pallet 71 for conveying the car is formed. There is no connection releasing member 69 in travelling trucks 17 and each parking chamber 16, and the mutually connected state is maintained in the conveying bodies 61 and the conveying bodies function as the pallets 71 for conveying the cars. |
