<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost airbag system equipped with a rigid force dispersal element. SOLUTION: The equipment assembly for automobile contains an airbag support 22, an airbag 28 fixed to the support 22 by 1st fixing means 54, 56; 120, and a force dispersal plate 24 for dispersing the impact of the passenger on the airbag 28. The airbag 28 is equipped with the force dispersal plate 24 and a sheath 46 having a virtually closed cross section. The sheath 46 is fixed to the plate 24 along an end 52 by a fixing means, with the inner capacity of the airbag 28 to be determined by the sheath 46 and the plate 24.</p> |
