PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water-based sealer composition which is excellent in the aspect of global environment protection and safety, and has also improved adhesion at room temperature, water-resistant adhesion, pot life and mechanical stability and to obtain a two-pack type water-based sealer composition. SOLUTION: The water-based sealer composition contains a water-based emulsion (A) obtained by polymerizing monomers each having an ethylenic double bond in the presence of a protective colloid of a copolymer of isobutylene and maleic anhydride and/or its derivative, and preferably, the monomers each having the ethylenic double bond consist of 35.0-90.0 wt.% alkyl (meth)acrylate, 10.0-65.0 wt.% vinylic monomer and 0-10 wt.% silane compound having an ethylenic double bond.
