PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially advantageous production method for m- dialkylbenzene which separates and recovers high purity m-dialkylbenzene with high efficiency form mixture of the isomers of the dialkylbenzene. SOLUTION: This method of production for the m-dialkylbenzene carries out a sulfonation of the dialkylbenzene isomers mixture, removes unreacted dialkylbenzene from the obtained isomer mixture of dialkylbenzene sulfonate and then carries out desulfonation.
