PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clean the interior of a reheating circulating circuit of an electric water heater having a bath reheating function without using a cleaning agent and causing trouble. SOLUTION: When a bathtub water level reaches a standard water level during drainage after use of a bathtub 24, a circulating pump 30 is started while a water supplying solenoid valve 40 is opened to supply water to a return pipe 281. Fresh water thus flows in the reheating circulating circuit (the return pipe 281, a reheating coil 22 and a feed pipe 282) to clean the interior of the circuit.
