PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely bring long members into intimate contact with one another by means of a simple arrangement when the members are longitudinally connected to one another. SOLUTION: To connect the jambs 3A and 3B of upper and lower panels 1A and 1B to each other, one of the jambs 3A is provided with a projecting part 74 which projects from a base 70, and the opposite jamb 3B is provided with an open end 36B that is brought into intimate contact by the base 74 in connecting direction, and a hollow part S shaped to enable the projecting part 74 to fit therein. A drawing mechanism H is provided for drawing the base 70 in the direction to make intimate contact with the open end 36B while the projecting part 74 is fitted in the hollow part S and in the direction to bring the interior wall contact part 74a of the projecting part 74 into intimate contact with the interior wall surface 33a of an inner end plate 33.
