PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized optical closure for branching a plastic optical fiber cable, which facilitates branching work and has a structure of high reliability not to increase the connection loss due to disturbances such as oscillation and temperature change. SOLUTION: An optical closure 1 for branching a plastic optical fiber cable has an optical fiber connection means 4 for connection between plastic optical fibers 11a and 21a and between plastic optical fibers 11b and 21b, optical fiber fixing means 3 for fixing the plastic optical fibers 11a, 11b, 21a, and 21b in the vicinity of the optical fiber connection means 4, and an optical fiber connection part fixing means 2 which is provided with the optical fiber connection means 4 and the optical fiber fixing means 3 and is made of materials having a coefficient of linear expansion approximately equal to that of the plastic optical fibers 11a, 11b, 21a, and 21b. |
