PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound insulating double ceiling capable of avoiding increase in noise by avoiding a rise of the level of sounds caused by impacts on the floors of living rooms in a multiple dwelling house. SOLUTION: The sound insulating double ceiling is characterized in that partition walls 11 raised from a floor slab 3 are coupled to a ceiling member 7 to open attic space 12, with a sound absorber 14 laid on top of the ceiling member 7. By eliminating a closed space formed at the back of the double ceiling, the energy of floor impact sounds 9 produced in a living room on the floor immediately above the ceiling and radiated into the attic space is dispersed to reduce the level 13 of the floor impact sounds in the living room. |
