PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for one-step hydroformylation of a 5-24C olefin into a corresponding 6-25C aldehyde and/or alcohol in a reactor at 100-200 deg.C and 100-400 bar in a state of existing both of a water-phase and an organic phase in the presence of a nonmodified cobalt catalyst. SOLUTION: This method comprises sufficiently mixing a bottom water phase with an organic phase in a reactor and keeping cobalt concentration in the bottom water phase within a range of 0.4-1.7 mass% (calculated based on metal cobalt) and maintaining the surface of the bottom water phase constant in a stationary state and, thereby, a method avoiding problems in conventional techniques in continuous work is provided and the objective product is produced at a high yield and a high selectivity. |
