PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an antimicrobial fiber product having high safety, hardly causing yellowing, and having durability of antimicrobial properties against industrial laundry, and further to provide an antimicrobial composition for a fiber. SOLUTION: This method for producing the antimicrobial fiber product comprises treating the fiber product with an antimicrobial component, a polycarboxylic acid having 90-20,000 molecular weight or a salt thereof, and a cross-linking agent. The antimicrobial composition for the fiber contains the antimicrobial component, the polycarboxylic acid having the 90-20,000 molecular weight or the salt thereof, and the cross-linking agent. |
