VIBRATION CONTROL STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration control structure in which the buckling of a brace material or a stab material installed into a frame is prevented and vibration-control performance can be maintained when horizontal load works to a building. SOLUTION: A Y-shaped brace is constituted of the brace materials 18, and connected to a beam 14 in a lower section through a link material 20 at the lower end section of the brace. The link material 20 is composed of an elastoplastic material, and designed so that plastic deformation is generated at a time earlier than the brace material 18 when axial force works to the brace material 18. The brace materials 18 are arranged so as to be held by two wall plates 18. The structure can also be applied to a frame on which the stab material is mounted in place of the brace material.
